Doctors


Dr. Mike Anderson is owner of our hospital. He graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and opened Animal Hospital of Orange Grove in 1995. He is responsible for insuring your pet has the best care possible in all phases of the hospital’s operations. With his efforts, you and your pet are insured not just exceptional medical care but also exceptional client service. Dr. Anderson has pursued additional post-graduate training in surgical subjects, ultrasound imaging and stem cell therapy. With over 15 years experience practicing in the Orange Grove/Gulfport area you simply need  ask your neighbors to confirm his excellent reputation for quality, compassionate pet care. Dr. Anderson lives in the Bayou View community with his wife, Karen, their 4 children and 2 grandsons . His pets include dogs, cats and assorted other creatures such as rehabilitated turtles, frogs, and fish. His hobbies include family time, trout fishing and furniture making.    


Milo Anderson

 

Dr. Nikki Palermo graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management in 1988 and then from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  She was born and raised in Louisiana and joined the staff in June 2003.  Dr. Palermo lives in Gulfport with her husband, Scott and 2 children.  Her hobbies include gardening, reading, traveling and spending lots of time with her dogs, Ralphie and Chewbacca, cats Sasha and Sugar and guinea pig, Rocky.

Dr. Palermo’s focus in our practice is to provide your pet with the best care possible. Her compassion for your pet will be easy to see and her personality is naturally friendly and outgoing.

Dr. Chris Rainey is the most recent doctor to join our staff. Dr. Rainey graduated from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was a paramedic with the Gulfport Fire Department for over 10 years. He is born and raised here on the MS gulf coast and has been a resident of the Orange Grove area for over 30 years. He currently resides in Saucier, MS with wife, Paula and two sons, Ryan and Aaron. Dr. Rainey has 3 dogs; Buck a lab and two mixed breeds, Skipper and Copper, who were originally rescued from a milk crate on the side of the road. His hobbies include, fishing, gardening and spending time with family.

Dr. Rainey brings great new ideas to our practice and will impress you with his honest, caring approach to the practice of veterinary medicine.
